Life may not come with an easy button, but smart phones can give you access to a seemingly endless supply of buttons—or apps—that will make your life a whole lot easier! We here at New Latina want to share with you a few handy apps that will help you stay organized, connected and motivated as you set out to improve your career, finances and health this year!

Do you want to find a new job but you don’t have a ton of time to wade through hundreds of job sites? Try the Indeed app. Much like it’s parent website, Indeed.com, the app allows you to search, save, email and apply for jobs pulled from all over the internet. Think of it as having a great little job recruiter stashed in your pocket!

This great app allows your to create and send custom digital business cards to your new and existing business contacts. Even better, the app allows you to track all of your sent cards, making it easier to follow up with business contacts. With this app, you’ll be a lean, green, networking machine!

Documents To Go

You’re a busy woman on the go, so it only makes sense that your important business documents go wherever you go. Forget about printing out reports or lugging your cumbersome laptop with you; you can view, edit and share your Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF with Documents To Go.  Supremely user-friendly, this app won’t tie you down.

This time of year your finances can begin to look a bit paltry, but that’s nothing that can’t be fix. Try downloading the LearnVest app. The app, developed by the female-centric investment and financial advisory online community LearnVest.com, will track your income and expenditures, as well as give you on-the-go access to great money-saving tips and investment advice.

A cool and refreshing app, Mint will help you achieve financial well-being this new year by organizing your spending into different categories and showing you where your money goes.

Pageonce is the only mobile app from which you can perform transactions, meaning that you can pay your bills, track your spending and monitor your bank account balance all from one easy to use app.

Nike Training Club

If you’ve ever wanted a personal trainer but always thought that they were too expensive, this app is for you! The Nike Training Club app gives you access to hundreds of workouts designed exclusively for mujeres! All you have to do is plug in your current fitness level and just move it!

If you’re like me, you’ve mentally fudged the number of calories present your favorite snacks and meals. However, if you’ve resolved to be a fitter, healthier you, it’s best that you stop estimating, and start educating yourself. Fooducate is a downloadable app that allows you to scan barcodes present on food packaging, and assigns letter grades to the scanned goods. The app also provides you nutrition facts about the scanned foods, and gives you a list of health alternatives.

My Fitness Pal

Good friends are hard to find, but a great fitness pal is just one download away! My Fitness Pal allows users to set fitness goals, share progress, track workouts and count calories. The app also boasts the largest food database of any iPhone calorie counter, giving you access to nutritional information on just about any of your favorite foods.
