Sneak Peek of Redbook's Red Carpet Event

On Thursday, September 23^rd, New Latina was invited to attend RedBook’s Red Carpet event at Grand Central Terminal in New York City. There were a variety of different booths available—including personalized hair consultations courtesy of Pantene Pro-V and makeup sessions courtesy of Revlon! Yours truly indulged in both, getting some big loose curls and a smoldering smoky eye from Revlon makeup artist Samantha Martinez. I even scored some swag from the swag suite—including some tasty (and healthy!) Vitafusion gummy vitamins, Lubriderm moisturizer, and Pantene shampoo and conditioner samples for curly hair! Great hair and great makeup while in transit in NYC is much coveted and much appreciated! Thanks RedBook!

Maria Del Toro

Maria Del Toro is a new intern at New Latina magazine, helping to establish new partnerships with like-minded organizations and assisting in developing the pilot program which is set to launch in early 2012. She has worked doing grants and development work for a number of non-profit organizations, including The White House Project, which strives to advance women’s political leadership and The Nuyorican Poet’s Café, the landmark New York City performing arts venue, as well as volunteered with El Museo del Barrio and the HBO New York International Latino Film Festival for several years. She is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minors in English and Film.
