Quotes to Motivate You This Monday

Monday Motivation

Mondays are rough! They just are! Whether you’re in love with your career or you absolutely abhor your job, Mondays can be a challenge. And that’s okay.

For some of us, we’ve been socialized to rival grumpy cat on Monday mornings; we wake up annoyed, counting the hours until Friday evening arrives. For others, we’re overwhelmed with the amount of items we have on our ever-expanding to-do lists. And still, there are others who just aren’t ready to shake off the last remnants of the rest and relaxation gained over the weekend. Whatever your reason for being less than welcoming to Monday mornings, I’m sure you’ll agree that they require a little extra motivation to get you started on the long week ahead.

Social Media & Monday Motivation

We here at New Latina and the ELLA Leadership Institute are no strangers to hard work and burn out. That’s why we do our best to remain upbeat and motivated, especially on these tough Monday mornings! Our secret weapon–or caffeine jolt for the soul–has been the Latina Leadership Network.

On the Latina Leadership Network, we kick-start every week with a roll call of all of the accomplishments our members have experienced over the last week. For us, there’s no better way to inspire a productive week by showcasing how productive we, as a group, have been in the weeks before!

We also venture out to other social networking sites, collecting stories and words of wisdom from women who inspire hard work and lead by example, always bringing their stories back to the LLN to share. One of my personal favorite sites to cull words of wisdom from has been Pinterest.

Now, as the days grow shorter and every new Monday brings with it slightly colder weather, I’d like to share with you all a little Pinterest-inspired cafecito for your career-driven soul to help motivate you on this gorgeous Monday morning!
