Tough Love

It’s not an easy thing

loving you

It’s a battle for sure

Always fighting the urge to hit you

with these bulbous words

that when left unsaid

weigh on my soul like lead

And if unrequited

would certainly maim me

So, this hard-to-express

scary thing

remains lodged in my throat

suffocating me

Without a breath to spare

I can only hope you feel

this slow beating heart whisper

that it loves you – despite its inaudible nature

It’s almost a violent thing

A masochists’ dream

loving you

MI ESTRELLA

Miradas al infinito cielo

buscando una estrella

para posarme en ella

y me brinde lo que tanto anhelo.

La encuentro tan lejos, brillando

llena de suenos e ilusiones

mi corazón palpitando

suspira al verla, de emociones.
