Our Emerging Latina Leaders
Helen Iris Torres is the Executive Director and CEO of Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE), an organization dedicated to training Latina leaders and advocates, as well as engaging in policy work regarding education, health care, civic participation and economic empowerment. Helen also serves on the board of directors for the non-profit group ZeroDivide. ZeroDivide is dedicated to creating programmatic solutions to close technological, digital and various other divides hindering underserved communities from thriving.
Stephanie Bravo was featured in our Latina Spotlight series for her work as the Founder and CEO of StudentMentor.org, a non-profit whose mission is to ” increase college completion and enhance student career readiness through the power of mentoring”. Bravo, a medical school student turned entrepreneur, also serves as the Assistant Director of Social Media at Santa Clara University, and was recently featured on the cover of Silicon Valley Latino Magazine’s inaugural issue!
The Emerging Latina Leader teleconference promises to be a rich resource for budding, mid-career and seasoned Latina professionals, alike. The guest speakers will share their professional experience, advice and know-how, helping participants to become successful and more confident leaders in their respective fields.
