DIY: Nourishing Pumpkin Facial Mask!

It’s officially Fall and in honor of my favorite season I’ve decided to soak in all the flavors of autumn with an-at home pumpkin facial.

Sure pumpkins make a delicious pie, but it’s also great for your skin as they contain antioxidants such as vitamins A, vitamins C, zinc and exfoliating enzymes that help protect your skin from free radials while gently dissolving dead skin cells.

It also helps keep you looking young as it works to reduce lines and wrinkles. Get your skin prepped for the fall with this highly nourishing mask that will leave your skin smooth and bright!

Pumpkin Facial Mask

What You’ll Need:

½ cup of cooked pureed fresh pumpkin (You can use canned pumpkin as well)

1 tablespoon of honey

2 tablespoons of unflavored yogurt

2 tablespoons of cinnamon

What To Do:

Mix together all the ingredients in a small bowl and apply evenly to your face. Leave mask on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off and apply a facial moisturizer.

  3. Tried this mask last night with a group of friends, y ¡ay como quemó! It started stinging as soon as we all put it on, and we had to wash it off after about a minute. All of our skin looks and feels amazing now, very soft! We re-made the recipe without the cinnamon and it was very soothing. We are looking forward to doing it again with maybe half the amount of canela so maybe we can leave it on a little longer next time. Wish we would have had a bit of a warning about the stinging–other than that, loved the outcome of the mask!
