ELLA at Cosmo for Latinas

Last night, the ELLA Leadership Institute had the extreme privilege of being honored by Cosmo for Latinas during their Fall Fashion Week party, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

Surrounded by an incredible array of smart, trendsetting mujeres, Cosmo for Latina’s Editor-in-Chief Michelle Herrera Mulligan pledged her support for the ELLA Leadership Institute, and lauded ELLA’s founder, Dr. Angelica Perez-Litwin, for creating a community dedicated to Latinas who exemplify the qualities that both brands encourage: fearlessness, intelligence and the audacity to think big.ELLA in Cosmo for Latinas

During her speech, Mulligan shared that both she and Dr. Perez-Litwin initially bonded, years ago, over their observation that not many communities existed for smart, driven, tenacious Latinas. Today, both women provide Latinas with the comunidad and sisterhood that they felt were missing in their own lives, all those years ago.

To look around Cosmo for Latina’s Fall Fashion Week party, is to observe an eclectic community of  trendsetters, thought leaders and fiercely determined women. Among those women were ELLA’s special guests of the evening: Yaindhy Vargas, Caroline Avakian, Catherine Lajara, Rachel Negron, Kristina Puga, Cynthia Santiago, and Vanessa Cabezas.

The ELLA Institute would like to formally thank Michelle Herrera Mulligan and the entire Cosmo for Latina staff for their continued support of our shared mission. We would also like to thank all of our special guests, as well as our members and social media supporters!
