I am a New Latina!
I am Angélica Perez-Litwin, a bilingual Psychologist, Social Entrepreneur and the creator of New Latina. Born and raised in New York, of Dominican-descent, I graduated from Columbia University and went on to pursue a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.
I have been counseling, empowering and mentoring women for twenty years. I have dedicated my professional life to women empowerment, higher education and ethnic/cultural issues. My private practice in Psychology focuses on helping women feel good about themselves and succeed in their professional and personal lives.
In the role of social entrepreneur, I enjoy my work as the publisher of New Latina. I am also currently working on the creation of a mission-based business focusing on connecting students to college opportunities for low-income, Latino and other ethnic-groups families and students.
I live in New York with my wonderful husband and four children.
